Two Saturdays of good music!

Some of last year’s junior music competitors on stage at The Muni

We’re looking forward to our annual music competitions, held on two Saturdays, November 25th and December 2nd.

This year we have six choirs taking part on the first Saturday at The Muni; Pendle Children’s Choir and Pendle
Youth Choir, and adult choirs from Carleton, Cononley, Nelson and Penistone.

The choirs will sing in the afternoon from 2pm, following the morning sessions for pianists and vocalists up to 18 which begin at 9am.

The adjudicator is Marilynne Davies, and the accompanist is Catherine Hall-Smith, who are both widely respected and admired on the Federation of Festivals circuit.

All sessions are open to the public, admission is just £2 all day, and food and hot drinks are available in the Lesser Muni.

On December 2nd, the venue is St John’s Church, Albert Road, for adult vocal classes including British composers, oratorio, G&S, Edwardian ballad etc. Once again, the adjudicator is Marilynne Davies and the accompanist is Catherine Hall-Smith.

Admission £2, food and hot drinks available.
